Chatchai Suban (Boyd) is a cinematographer, media artist and film lecturer based in Chiang Mai. He graduated with a BFA in Sculpture and an MFA in Media Art from Chiang Mai University.

In 2004, His first short film ‘ Undo Redo' received honorable mention for the Ratana Pestanji Award for Best Thai Short Film.

In 2012, He started to work with Apichatpong Weerasethakul in Mekong Hotel as a cinematographer. He later shot Apichatpong's Fireworks (Fans), Ablaze, Vapour, Invisibility, and Fever Room.

His films and art works focus on social history and political issues in Thailand.
